Thank you to EVERYONE who worked so hard this year to make The Great Pumpkin Patch an incredible success! We had a record year and shared a lot of joy. See you next October!

St. Augustine's celebrated the Feast of St. Francis with the Blessing of the Animals on October 2nd in the Courtyard. Lots of furry and feathered friends in attendance. Thank you, Deacon Hackett, for blessing our pets!
A BIG return to BIG Breakfast! The first Sunday of every month has been Big Breakfast Sunday for many years, but the event was put on hold by the COVID pandemic. The St. Augustine's community is thrilled that this beloved tradition has returned and we are one step closer to "normal"!
Taking appropriate precautions, the Big Breakfast crew geared up on Sunday, August 1st and prepared a delicious feast of eggs, sausages, biscuits, and grits for about 25 attendees. A big thanks to Andre Roques, Jimmy Scotton, Danny Flemming, Martha Gauze, Jeanne Roques Blanchard, Eleanor Hennemann, Kay Poole, and R.J. Coats for all of their hard work! It was a very emotional morning as we bid farewell to our Rector of 14 1/2 years. Although we couldn’t all gather together in Byrd Hall for a big celebration, the three small farewell outdoor gatherings were just what we needed to let Father AJ know how much we appreciated his time with us and give our best to him and Shannon on their new chapter.
This Good Friday, we put out the call for photographs of crosses from our homes, and gathered them together for a slideshow during our online service. As we are all still stuck at home, may this powerful symbol remind you of how God has connected us -- to Him, and to one another. St. Augustine’s Church and St. Martin’s Episcopal School are building bridges and changing lives with a program that provides selected Honduran students from Holy Spirit Episcopal Bilingual Episcopal School with scholarships to study at STM in their senior year. Hear the voices of these amazing young people as they describe their journeys. If you are motivated to become involved in this high impact ministry, donate now or call Father A. J. to discuss opportunities! St. Augustine's participated in the Notre Dame Seminary Bible Marathon 2020, a public reading of the Bible for 100 continuous hours -- and our readers did a great job, in English and in Spanish! The marathon runs from today (Jan 28) through February 1, 2020.
A warm welcome to all our friends from Holy Spirit Episcopal Church & Bilingual School in Tela, Honduras (and thanks to their host families)!
Many thanks to Br. Todd van Alstyne, who came to St. Augustine's for a visit and taught us about the life and legend of St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra. The kids--and adults!--learned a lot.
