I write this morning to address a few questions that were not covered in yesterday's email.
Beginning March 15 and continuing at least through March 22nd, we will offer only the essential parts of our Sunday schedule. Holy Eucharist at 8:00 am, 10:30 am, and 12:30 pm.
We will not offer Christian Education for adults or children. The Nursery will not be open. We will not gather for coffee and conversation. The goal is to strike a balance between communal worship and social distancing in order to minimize the spread of the virus and the dangerous consequences of overwhelming the healthcare system.
I encourage you to consider carefully your decision to attend church tomorrow. Anyone who falls into the categories listed in yesterday's email (see below) should not come to church. This pains me to say, but the risk--as individuals and to our community--is not worth it. The option to participate online is an excellent alternative. You can watch each service "live" on Facebook at www.facebook.com/staugmet.
We will continue to send updates as the situation evolves. My prayers are with each of you, our healthcare workers, and first responders, all those in authority, and especially all those ho are ill or at risk.
