Dear Friends,
The scale, scope, and duration of the Coronavirus pandemic continues to require time to process. At first it was happening "over there," and then it was "right here," and now my brain struggles to process that this danger and uncertainty is happening "everywhere." And yet, there is something profoundly unifying in it all. We are all in this fight together. We are all able to do something, for each other, for our community and for the world. I do not believe that God caused this or desires this, but I firmly believe that God will work through this for God's purposes. May we be united with those purposes. A Collect for Grace Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. TopBox Food Order: If you'd like some fresh, healthy food that is both delivered and affordable, you should go to https://www.topboxfoods.com/new-orleans/home. The orders for this Saturday's delivery to the St. Augustine's parking lot are due Thursday at Noon. Lent in a Bag: In all the chaos of the last few weeks, has anyone remembered to keep up with the daily reflections we began with Lent in a Bag? For the rest of Lent, we'll be posting a quick video on the Facebook page once a week, and encourage everyone to share their thoughts and insights together in the comments. Being physically distant doesn't mean we can't share and learn together! Also, please remember to contact Rachel Whitley at rfwhitley@gmail.com if you need help in getting groceries, or are willing to run those errands. Morning Prayer will continue weekdays at 9:00 am at www.facebook.com/staugmet/ Tomorrow and then on Mondays thereafter, we will also livestream the PreSchool Chapel service at 9:30 am: https://www.facebook.com/St.AugustinesEpiscopalPreschool/ Peace, AJ+
